Little Canada 2018

On Friday 25th May, 45 Year 5 and 6 children, along with 5 members of staff, travelled from Chesham all the way down to Little Canada, which is near Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight. We stopped twice on the way down before our ferry crossing from Portsmouth. It rained all the way down but the sun shone as soon as we got to Portsmouth - we nearly lost Mr. Hudson though!

It is a beautiful place set in acres of space on the edge of the creek - and we could see the ferry from our lod! We stayed in log cabins.

Here we are enjoying games on the first night along with some of the views on camp.

Saturday: So so hot but we loved the giant swing, buggy building, tunnel trail & aeroball. See some of the things we got up to below:

And on Sunday we went to the Needles to see sweets made; experience a 4D cinema; make our own sand sculptures and we had lunch on the beach where we tried skimming stones - some most successfully and others...... We then went to Amazon World and saw some amazing creatures. We saw African penguins being fed and fed ourselves with ice lollies - because it was still very hot!!

and so now, on Monday, we're homeward bound! And the weather is still lovely. As we crossed the Solent we saw a hovercraft; World War 2 defences and countless ferries going to the Isle of Wight, France and Spain.
